HIGH BEECHES HISTORY FEATURES IN SUSSEX LIVING MAGAZINE - SEPTEMBER ISSUE

Pick up a copy of the September issue of Sussex Living Magazine and you can read part one of the remarkable history of High Beeches Garden and the other four members of Great Gardens of Sussex (Wakehurst, Nymans and Borde Hill).

Dr Katy Brown, garden historian, has writen a fascinating  history of the Great Gardens of Sussex and the development of the 'Sussex Style' - a blend of naturalistic planting and the use of rare and unusual plants.  She explains why the gardens are so special and explores the personalities, rivalries and friendships of the gardens, their owners and head gardeners from their inception on Victorian times through to the present day.
